Sand Castle - DeNami Product Spotlight Blog Hop

Hi there!

Today DeNami Designs is spotlighting the Sand Castle stamp.  You get a 10% savings for one week only! It's also a Design Team Blog Hop and I am your LAST STOP on the HOP! Hopefully you have hopped along the way and left a comment for your chance to win this stamp! If you are just wondering in, no problem, you can find the list below!
I started with a pink card base onto which I added my patterned paper. Starting at the top, I took the same paper and cut a few scallops topping with a white heart border!
I stamped the Sand Castle on a kraft pinking sheer die-cut using Vintage Sepia ink.  I used some creative masking to use the Birds stamp to fit my Sand Castle focal point. :-)  In tumbled glass ink, I used the Mini Swirl to create a background beneath the Sand Castle focal point. Using 5/8 Grosgrain white ribbon, I created two ribbon tails. I used an Aqua Boutique Button laced with twine to anchor the tails.
Lastly, I stamped a border at the bottom using the Seashells stamp set to complete the look!
Now don't forget to leave a comment before you go! You could be the proud new owner of this stamp!!!

The RibbonReel Challenge 58 - A Time To Celebrate

Hello~

{Honored that this was a Top 3 Shout Out at Link Up Tuesday Linky Party 7/22/13 Thank You so much}

Welcome to another challenge at The Ribbon Reel! I am actually the host and I would like to see you create a card or project using the inspiration photo below, using the colors Pink and White PLUS Ribbon and Lace
The Supplies I used from The Ribbon Reel:
If you have followed me long enough, I think it's no secret that I love pink! (aqua too), but I loves me some pink! :-) I started with a pink card base and I embossed a white cardstock panel using the letterpress technique.  Using Hero Arts Clouds backgroud stamp, I used a pink ink layering to create another background paper. From my patterned paper stash, I found a pretty pink panel to add to the bottom. I added a length of beautiful white crochet trim. In the lower right corner, I added a sentiment from Hero Arts: Cuckoo

I die-cut and layered some hearts with some pink glittery goodness in the center of the card front. In the upper right corner of the heart, I added my three beautiful paper roses.
As you see above, I tied a fussy shabby bow using pink and white seam binding. I stamped the clock from the Hero Arts Cuckoo set in charcoal ink and added to the center adding a pink rhinestone to the center. A final embellishing touch was adding a White Pearl Stick Pin.

Here is your inspiration photo! I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it! I hope it will inspire you to create and join us the next two weeks.
Please be sure to make a stop over at The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog to view the rest of the gorgeous creations by the design team.  I hope to see your creations in the gallery the next two weeks.  You could be the next winner of The Ribbon Reel shopping spree!

Paper Sweeties July Post Rewind

It's the last day of the July release at Paper Sweeties! Hopefully you have had a chance to peek around at the design team sneak peeks. Today I have one more share using a new set as well as previously released stamps.
I started by stamping the picket fence from the newly released set Home Tweet Home twice in Kraft ink on Kraft cardstock which I fussy cut out. I then added some white paint to give a worn and weathered look.  I added the fence to each end of the patterned paper after stamping the pole for the birdhouse.  I then stamped, fussy cut, and added my little birdie to the fence.
I stamped Emma and gave her a dress from You are Special. The sentiment Grateful For You that has been stamped in a banner can also be found in that same set.  A final embellishing touch was adding a butterfly that I have painted white and distressed slightly with sandpaper, a flower gem to the birdhouse and pearls to Emma's hair. :-)

Please be sure to stop by the Paper Sweeties Blog and the rest of this talented team to see one more Paper Sweeties creation!

Sharing this at Link Up Tuesday, An Inky Situation - Anything Goes

I hope you have enjoyed looking at the new creations for Paper Sweeties the last few days! I hope you have a wonderful and blessed day!

Paper Sweeties July Release Day 2 - Enjoy Life

Hello again!

It's Day 2 of the Paper Sweeties July Release. I am back sharing a card I created from the soon to be released Happy Summer. When I opened my set to work with,  I knew I wanted to use this sweet tree image and my mojo lead me to a country summer time feel.
I used Basic Grey's Lemonade Collection. I stamped the tree in a Raspberry ink onto the Brown Kraft Cover Weight card base.  I added the Enjoy Life sentiment to the lower right corner in Vintage Sepia Ink.
You will want to check out the rest of the Paper Sweeties Design Team to see what they have created with the new release.  You can also find the list here to visit their blogs and leave them some love.

I used the stamp set Summer Fun.  I love the sentiment Summer Days Are Moments to Treasure. When I think of summer, I think of gatherings and some good ol' Watermelon with friends and family.  I used my Cricut Doodlecharms cartridge for the watermelon and added a touch of glitter. A fussy bow was created embellished with some baker's twine and decorative button.

A super Simple boys birthday card! :-)

Hello~

Summer time around here means less time in the craft room, but for this family, it also means Baseball! It's a love we have passionately in our house!

I have a super simple card to share today. My son was invited to a party for a friend of his who was on his little league team. He is a sweet kid, and we have taken him with us to a Washington Nationals Baseball Game. (Our love) His dad coaches his Big Brother's team, so they share the love of the sport too.

When it comes to kids cards, I don't get into a lot of details with my makes because....well....they're kids....they really could care less about the card....especially boys!

So here's my super simple card (which I swear take me longer to make than my shabby cards do) *wink*!
I started with a rustic cream card base onto which I added my pieced patterned paper layers.  I die-cut my bat, ball, and glove and added them to the center stamping my sentiment in the lower right of the focal panel.
I added a baseball ribbon tab to the top left adding a button layer for further embellishment.
All and all a pretty cute birthday card for a little guy who loves baseball.

Further inspiration was found from retrosketches.

DeNami Sneak Peek: Create Your Own

Hi!

{For The New Ribbon Reel Challenge Post click here}

Welcome to Day 3 of the DeNami Design Sneak Peeks.  Teammate Deb and I will be showing the new release Create Your Own to be released July 10th.

DeNami has come out with a line where you can create your own characters. Previously released by DeNami Designs is a petit four set Friendly Faces and they work with the new Create Your Own Cling Stamps Faces and Hairstyles.  The Create Your Own Royal Court set was used here to create this cute birthday card.  I stamped DeNami Design Happy Birthday Script inside a half scalloped oval and placed at the top of my card adding DeNami Design Sweetheart Buttons on both sides.

Up next is a thank you card using The Create Your Own Cling Faces and previously released Friendly Faces to create a "Smiley Face" Graduation Thank You.
My inspiration came from a friend mentioning that she needed Thank You notes for Kindergarten Graduation and everything on the market ready made seemed geared toward High School or Collegiate,  and it just wasn't what she was looking for.  So I wanted to show how this new release faces works well with some previously released stamps such as the Graduation Set and if you took advantage of the Product Spotlight discount a couple of weeks back you have this in your collection already! :-)

I started by creating a smiley face in two corners and I used the confetti from the Graduation Set to create a border. You can use any sentiment in the center, but I went with You're The Best.

Next, I have a few treat bags to share using the Faces set and Trick-or-Treat accessory set.  I stamped them on smaller tags and used some black grosgrain ribbon and Halloween Boutique Buttons to anchor them to the top of the bag.
I started with  Two Glassine Bags and I stamped and embossed the spider web from The Petit Four Halloween Stamp Set on the front of the bag in white ink.   I added some green polkadot paper from my stash to the bottom and used the White and Black Dots Washi Tape by cutting it in half and adding to the top and bottom of the paper.
I am also showing the soon to be released Halloween Spider Web used in the center of the treats.  No sneak peek is not complete without a giveaway!

Next I would like to share some notecards.  This can work either as a gift to a teacher at the start of the school year or a set for yourself to write to your child's teacher.  I know many teachers send notes home and with the Create Your Own, you can mix and match boys and girls! I created an example creating a boy since I have a little guy.
I also used a sentiment from The All Occasions Sentiment Set and the Basic Borders Set (cling)

I hope you enjoyed the Create Your Own sneak peek.

But no sneak peek is complete without a giveaway right???  For your chance to win some Brand New DeNami goodies of your own be sure to:

The Ribbon Reel #57 - Birthday Wishes

Hello Friends,

It's Ribbon Reel Challenge time!   Helen is hosting and she has chosen a beautiful inspiration photo and asked that you use the colors in the photo, lace, ribbon, twine and flowers.
The supplies from The Ribbon Reel used:
I started with a a cream card base onto which I added my patterned paper. I stamped a frame onto a die-cut and cut in half adding at the top and bottom of my card. I added a sentiment to the bottom and embellished the top die-cut with satin angel wings, aqua button, and twine.
Pulling inspiration from the photo, I stamped and die-cut a tea cup in pink, gingham paper which I added a snippet of crochet trim and a button. While on the subject of snippets, I took some leftove pieces and created banners and placed below the teacup before placing in the center of my oval circle. Lastly, I created a fussy bow out of Beige Seam binding and embellished with a twine bow and tea rose.
Below is the beautiful inspiration photo.
Please head over to The Ribbon Reel Challenge Blog to see what the other talented ladies have created for you.  We hope you join us in the gallery over the next two weeks for your chance to win some Ribbon Reel goodness.

Oh my, this is gorgeous. I loved the color combo & the pretty papers you used. But I 'especially' loved the cameo embellie. Cameo's are so vintage and evoke a feel of a by-gone era (to me anyway). They are simple in appearance, yet so classy & elegant. Gracious, I'd love to win something like this. Let me see if I can! TFS such a beautiful card! Hugs
